CASES
in all sizes and in various types of materials
Plywood cases
Plywood cases can be ordered for packings containing lightweight goods.
Plywood is especially suited to shipments towards countries requiring the
sue of treated material against parasitic phytopathogenic agents. By its
very nature, plywood does not need to be treated because it is not a carrier
of such agents.
Wooded cases
Wood is the material most widely used, but it provides no guarantee against
attacks from parasites if it is not specially treated. Wood is employed
on a large scale, especially for large capacity and very heavy packagings.
When wood is chosen as a packing material, the finished case can be treated
with methyl bromide. Alternatively, wood can be used which has been treated
at high temperatures (HT), or the packing can be fumigated. |
